ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide mental health consultation to early childhood programs.
Provide consultation to early childcare providers and educators regarding children who have been identified as having difficulty within the child care environment.
Provide on site observations of individual children and classroom practices, meet with parents, develop plans to address identified problems, monitor plan implementation and effectiveness, and facilitate referrals to other service providers as necessary.
Provide training and support to staff in implementation of recommendations.
Consult with program directors.
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in a Human Services related field (psychology, social work, early care and education) required.
Extensive knowledge of child development, early care and education environments, emotional and behavioral health, family systems, assessment, attachment/separation issues, abuse and neglect is required.
