St. Bridget School Reviews

Wonderful school. A loving principal and the teachers are great.

My children have attended St. Bridget since pre-school and we are now getting ready for my oldest to graduate. He has benefited from a supportive, challenging and inspiring staff of teachers. This school had done a wonderful job preparing them for success in the future. They have received a quality catholic education and a wonderful foundation supporting the values taught at home. They enjoy school, the community of teachers, parents and other students. I am thankful to have enrolled them and am pleased with their progress and experiences.

We transferred our high-ability child to St. Bridget middle school, and have been very pleased overall with the integrated, values-based approach to education. The academic areas that we are most impressed with are math (by ability level which is critical in middle school), science (for its hands-on lab work), and language arts for its comprehensiveness. Every school has a weakness, and for St. Bridget's middle school it is that the majority of students treat certain 'specials' (music and spanish in particular) with disregard. It appears that most of the families are very committed to the school as a whole, and in particular helpful with their child's class. There are some deadbeat parents, but they seem to be small enough that their negative impact is negligible... probably due to the sincerity of the outstanding administration and the quality of the core families who continually give so much of themselves.

I love the school, teachers, class size, academic programs, extracurricular activities, level of parent involvement, etc... Check out our website to learn more about the school or call for a tour. www.school.saintbridget.com

We started pre-school with our first child here at St. Bridget in 1999 (after interviewing many schools)and we currently have 3 children attending and can't say enough about the school. St. Bridget gives the students a firm foundation in the Catholic faith while also giving a continual quest for academic excellence. Mrs. Barry is a warm, caring principal who takes an active interest in each student and never forgets to greet a parent. One word to describe her secretary Christine Delissio 'outstanding'. The teachers are smart, caring, and accessible. Parents that like to be involved.... there's the library, cafeteria duty or join one of the many fundraising events like Wine Tasting Auction, Pancake Breakfast, or Italian Night. Lots of extra-curricular activities like chess club to competitive sports with excellent coaches. We live in South Windsor (great school system) but still travel the distance to take our children to St. Bridget.

This school provides a wonderfully enriching environment to raise a well-educated and well -rounded child. The school provides full-day kindergarten and goes through the eigth grade. The class sizes are fairly small thus allowing teachers to spend more quality time with the children. The teachers are kind and loving and extremely patient and always willing to go the extra mile to assure that the child understands what he/she is being taught. The Principal of the school knows every child and family on an intimate level. As well as the academics there is wonderful art and music program along with band. There are many extracurricular activities such as sports, drama, chess club, math olympiads,boy/girl scouts, computer club, cheerleading, etc. There is something for every child to become involved in. My family is extremely pleased with the school and we travel a fairly lengthy distance on a daily basis to attend!
